Independent creative studio Goldenhive Productions has introduced the illustrated story Walt & The Magical Bee, created by author and creative director Cristina Cargasacchi-Jasper, at the London Book Fair, one of the most important international events in the publishing industry.

The book will also be featured at the upcoming Bologna Children’s Book Fair, the world’s leading fair dedicated to children’s publishing.

Inspired by the life and creative legacy of Walt Disney, Walt & The Magical Bee explores themes of imagination, creativity and perseverance through a poetic narrative.

At the heart of the story is Lucy, a magical bee who symbolises the spark of inspiration that helps creative ideas take flight. Through this imaginative journey, the book celebrates the courage to dream and the power of artistic vision.

The illustrated story is intended for readers ages 6–12 and beyond, inviting audiences of different generations to explore its themes of creativity, imagination and artistic inspiration.

The book features illustrations by Spanish artist Meritxell Andreu, developed from the author’s original visual concepts and early sketches. Meritxell has worked extensively

with Disney and Warner Bros, and her illustrations have been featured by

publishers such as Penguin Random House NY, Egmont UK, and Egmont Denmark.

The project was developed as part of the creative work of Goldenhive Productions, an independent storytelling studio dedicated to developing original creative projects across books, film and the performing arts.

Following its presentation at the London Book Fair, the project continues its international journey within the publishing and creative industries, opening the door to further artistic development across multiple creative formats.
